another route would be to marry her off to a clan that you want to join your kingdom, that way you can atleast recruit her into your army. donating troops is only posible in towns/castle: switch to troops (notable char/garnison view the bar on top, left of center with portraits) klick her and you can talk/donate troops.
It doesn't work like that (for now). Marrying Ira (or any ruler children) won't make necessarily you and/or your spouse the next ruler. When the current ruler dies, a voting between the lords starts to resolve who should rule the kingdom. Another lord can be the new ruler, or even yourself. 22 votes, 10 comments. true.

I go to her brother, but her brother only has a barter option for "marry my sister" which he agrees to, but there's no diplomacy check. After that nothing happens. If you want to get married as a merc you can cheat yourself in the influence.
